I am not eligible for state assistance because I made 200 dollars over the requirement on my taxes 2010...under $16,000, my daughter is severe bipolar and ADHD, I get all of her therapy and medications free thru a mental health service here. However, I don't get any assistance on childcare for a 16 yr old girl...I can't trust to leave her alone she has attempted suicide twice ( now I keep all her meds under lock and key), she has been in and out of treatment facilities and once she is stable they release her.....we go to family therapy and she has individual therapy ......I have lost so many jobs and people don't understand that is my kid I have to be there when she needs me....her dad has never been in the picture and owes over 10k in child support which we will never see..... I have applied for emergency medical coverage through my state where I was told it could take anywhere between 60 to 90 days to be approved, so I find myself in the position of being forced to choose between feeding my three children, paying for electricity and other utilities in order to afford my son’s insulin and supplies until his state insurance is approved. I have also applied for assistance with several local agencies, but our monthly income is a mere $7.00 over the monthly income limit therefore making us ineligible. My oldest daughter has a disability that complicates an already strained monthly budget. I am not a deadbeat mom, nor do I live above my means but in today’s economy unfortunately I am forced to live payday to payday without a safety cushion to fall back on. My husband lost his job shortly after we had our fourth baby and then was hospitalized off and on until he finally had surgery. In the mean time, bills piled up. We lost our car and our house. Luckily, my mother in law has let us live with her, but we want out! Our plan is to move back to our home state, but we don't even have the money for gas to get up there, let alone find a place to live once we arrive! The first reason is I have been having some health issues, where the doctors are concerned I may have cancer. They are not sure what kind other than it is with in my abdominal region, I was told I needed a colonoscopy to find out for sure what is going on with me considering I have been sick off and on for a few years and the doctors are finally worried about it. The biggest concern for everything is I am a mother of 6, and I am only 28 years old. I need money to cover the procedure to make sure that I am not being taken from my kids sooner than I have too with our finances things are tight enough just to pay our rent. The second thing is with the vehicle I have it does not fit us it is too small I am in need of some thing that sits at least 8 people, so I do not have to worry anymore about putting my childrens life in danger for not having enough seatbelts, or seats in that matter since it is required by law to have every passenger in their own seat, and belt.
