husband was diagnosed with cancer a week ago. I do have insurance through work but my copay is 5,000.00. This cancer is highly curable with proper treatment. Due to decreased hours over the past year I only have this insurance for a couple of months. We already owe 8,563, not counting this copay. I've looked into programs that help with copayments, but they are very cancer specific. My husband has not been able to work for over 4 mos. due to his symptoms, and I don't make enough money to cover our bills let alone what this is going to cost us. I have already started selling our things to get by. I have to come up with the 5,000.00 by monday to continue to be treated. We have already been turned down for assistance with the bill. Without continued care and treatment things do not look good. I do not know if these sites work, but I hope and pray that there are people out there that will show me they do. I want to thank everyone right now for their caring and generosity.
