I am a 24 year old mother of an 8 month old little girl. I lost my job when I got pregnant and now only my husband works. He works at Walmart, so he doesn't make that much money.
Our situation is hard to explain, but I am going to try. My husband and I live in his grandmother's old house. His mother bought it when his grandmother died. We are renting it for $300 a month and can't afford anymore than that. She has decided to sell the house and rent around here is no where near this cheap. The price of the house would cause our payments to be very cheap, actually cheaper than what we are paying in rent.
We don't want the house to go to a stranger, but our credit is not good enough to get a loan for the full amount. Nor do we have a down payment.
My credit is bad because my mother had a brain aneurysm last year and the year before that, my father had a stroke, so my credit cards were maxed out to help them and we don't have the money to pay them off.
